Rainy Season Routes
Visiting the Salar between JANUARY AND APRIL may possibly be the most surreal experience you will ever have, because during the rainy season the Salar floods and it is possible to see the clouds reflected on the ground, thanks to the Mirror Effect that forms the immensity of the desert mixed with the rain. .
However, during this time the authorities restrict access beyond the shore, as water levels can be harmful for cars. Therefore, during this season it is not possible to visit Incahuasi Island or the northern coast of the Salar.
Keep in mind that at this time the sky is quite cloudy, so it is not very likely that you will be able to see the stars... but this is compensated by the magical sunsets that this journey gives you.
Dry Season Routes
Between MAY AND DECEMBER the Salar is dry and it is possible to visit the white desert in its entirety!!!
During our Dry Season tours you will be able to visit Incahuasi Island and the northern coast of the Salar, as well as get lost in the immensity of the salt landscape.
However, it is very unlikely that you will encounter the Mirror Effect (January to April). And if you travel in winter (June to August) bring plenty of clothing because it is very likely to snow in the highest areas.
