Important information for traveling to the Salar de Uyuni and REA:
Any visit to this region of Bolivia is considered an adventure trip. The landscape beauty coexists in freedom and harmony with the living beings of the region; However, for visitors the conditions are extreme, the climate is very changeable, we spend long hours on the route, the infrastructure is scarce and suffering from "altitude sickness" is very common.
We will be above 3,600 meters above sea level. with high solar radiation. Therefore, it is necessary to arrive at the trip acclimatized; Eat lightly, do not do very demanding physical activities, rest the days before in a high city, prevent altitude sickness with coca tea or over-the-counter pills in pharmacies like Sorojchipill. Drink plenty of water.
Don't worry too much, we take care of your safety and comfort on the route.
"Don't expect anything from this trip" is our main recommendation. High expectations can ruin the experience, so we want you to live in the moment. It could be that you are short of breath, that the food is bad for you, that you feel too cold or that you get sunburned... But, maybe not, too...
So, is it worth taking this trip?... Of course, it is worth every second!!!
